The below photo shows the re-route to Burlap Buttress. This re-route is the back of the canyon just before the route does a 180 and heads SE.
The old route climbed a class 3 wall/crack. The climb was not difficult, but the exit was full of loose rock endangering those below. The new route avoids all this!

Also there's another re-route near the start of the hike. Once you cross the wash via a path that cuts through the brush, instead of ascending the dashed red line (normal route) head to the right (there's a path) and ascend as the black line shows. This avoids some very loose rock.
