Off to Yosemite on Friday

Mark, Dana and I are off to Yosemite on Friday. We are staying in a cabin at Mono Village Resort, which is just out of Bridgeport. I will let everyone know about the cabins. On Saturday we will climb Blacksmith Peak the northern most peak in the Sawtooth range. Photo to the left. Mark and I spotted this peak when we were doing Matterhorn Peak a few weeks ago.

Saturday night has us driving to Bishop and spending the night. On Sunday Picture Peak is our target. It's one of the most scenic peaks in the Sierra. This promises to be another great trip. Have a good weekend.
Climb hard, climb high!

Three New Hikes Added to the Member's Only Section

I just added these hikes (all from Yosemite) to the Member's Only Section of the web site:
Tioga Peak - Quick hike with great views from the summit (Class 1)
El Cap Gully - Wild route to the top of the mighty El Cap (Class 4)
Mt. Hoffman - Great views of backcountry peaks from the summit (Class 2)

The funny thing is I did these peaks and the write ups almost a year ago! Anyways, members now have 11 eleven hikes they can download from Yosemite. More are coming as I am planning to visit Yosemite in a few weeks. This time I will try not to wait a year to publish the hikes to the web site!
