From reports I have received, snow is melting fast in the Sierra. The photo is the gully above Iceberg Lake via the Mountaineers Route to Mt. Whitney. Looks good for this early in the summer. We will be doing the Mountaineers Route later this summer.Mummy's Forehead needs a sign-in book and container. Last Sunday as we did our Mummy Head to Toe hike we noticed it was gone.
Looks like the Monsoon Season is just about to start. The best plan is to get an early start and watch the sky. Also, make sure to carry a rain jacket in your pack. For more tips, click on this link and scroll down to "Real Dangers."
