Red Rock Canyon received a ton of snow last night. All routes and trails (does anyone hike the trails there?) are NOT doable. Even Calico Hills/Calico Basin have snow on the summits and routes. I am sure the Scenic Loop road is closed, at least during the morning hours.
You can hike around Lake Mead or go snow shoeing up in Mt. Charleston. Chains or 4WD vehicles are required to drive on the roads in Charleston. The weekend forecast calls for good weather, but it will be a longtime until the snow has melted in Red Rock Canyon.
