Parking Issues

Looks like various government agencies are coming down hard on enforcing parking violations. The following was reported by Nick yesterday:
A couple of friend were hiking up Frenchman Mountain yesterday. They parked just inside the open gate and got a $100 parking ticket.

Also cars have been broken into at various parking lots. One of the worst is off of Blue Diamond Highway where we drive to Black Velvet trailhead. The break-ins occur at the new paved parking lot just off the road, not where we park at the trailhead. I have not heard of any break-ins along the Scenic Loop.Best bet is make sure your car is clean, nothing to steal. Guess it's the times we are now living in.
