Foundation Peak

This is an newly named peak out of Calico Basin. It's a very short scramble to a peak that stands above the partially completed foundation along the gravel road that starts at Kraft Mountain trailhead. You can be up and down in less than an hour, but it's a good workout (90% scrambling) and you do not have to drive the Scenic Loop! All in all a fun little hike.
As you can see in the photo, there are nice views from the top. There's no book as of 4-23-2009.
You could extend the hike by scrambling to Calico Tank Peak and beyond.
