Various Updates

The Scenic Loop Road at Red Rock Canyon now closes at 7 pm! This means you can start a hike at noon and have seven hours to complete it. Currently it would be dark by 7, but that will change soon.

Most of the snow has melted in Red Rock. Some places high on north facing routes might have a bit of snow or ice. Most snow should melt by Sunday if the forecast holds true.

All waterfalls are still flowing at Red Rock, although they will be drying up soon.

Mt. Charleston: Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is reporting a snow base of 56 inches. All trails are covered in snow with a possible exception being Fletcher Canyon. I have heard the snow is becoming slushy in places making it poor for snow shoeing.
