Various Updates

Only 11 more days until the Scenic Loop Road at Red Rock Canyon closes at 5 pm. It will continue to close at 5 pm until March 1st. This only applies to the Scenic Loop. Calico Basin and south Red Rock do not have gates. That being said it's always a smart idea to be back to the car before dark.

Trail to the Cabin in Desert National Wildlife Range. This comes from Kenny: Major landslide...... about 200 cubic yards of gravel/rock/debris has wiped out part of the trail about two miles into the hike. Wiregrass Spring is barely flowing. The cabin (about five miles from the trailhead) is being restored. Kenny is one of the volunteers.
