Only Las Vegas could be named the fattest city by Men's Fitness Magazine and be named the best outdoor destination by Backpacker Magazine. The way I see it is we have lots of great hiking and outdoor areas that are not crowded like most outdoor destinations. It's the perfect combination! Let's face it more Las Vegans can tell you the fastest way to the buffet as opposed as the fastest way to Bridge Mountain. There are still many peaks in Red Rock and some in Mt. Charleston that only see a handful of hikers each year. Hiking Las Vegas will continue to find and document new routes around southern Nevada and beyond. In fact members can look forward to a new route to the Twin Tanks (click on photo to enlarge) by the end of this month.
