Mark and I got within 60 vertical feet of Red Throbber Spire today. We were close, yet so far away. The down climb to the base of the spire looked airy and the climb to get on top looked technical. The descent route from the saddle between Bridge Mtn and Bridge Point was amazing. We were constantly faced with dropoffs of 2o to over 500 feet. Amazingly, we always found a non-technical way down the walls. Soon we were down to the view in the photo to the left. The rest of the route looked very technical with multiple rappels to reach the base of the spire. I am not sure if I will return with technical gear, but this route will never appear in the Member's Only section of the web site.
