Today I led hikers from the Las Vegas chapter of Meet Up.com to Mescalito via the Mescalito fork of Pine Creek in Red Rock Canyon. They handled the scrambling without any problems. It was a perfect day with plenty of sunshine and lots of laughter. The route is in good shape again with lots of cairns marking the way. The brush had been cleared making it easier to keep on route. This is a good hike to do with the days getting shorter. It's rated a level 4 in difficulty.
