Mt. Charleston Snow Update

Griffith Peak Hike in Mt. Charleston, NV

Yesterday my Meetup Group (http://www.meetup.com/Hiking-Las-Vegas/) bagged Griffith Peak via Harris Springs route. This is a very scenic route. The photo to the left is from the hike. As you can see it was very easy to avoid the snow, though it's fun to slide down :)

So, which routes are doable in Mt Charleston?

Griffith Peak via Harris Springs - doable
Griffith Peak via South Loop - doable with some snow crossings
Charleston Pk via South Loop - doable with some snow crossings
Charleston Pk via North Loop - too much snow after Devil's Thumb
Mummy Mtn via scree slope - doable with minor snow crossings
Mummy Mtn via Mummy Springs - Lots of snow in gully
Sisters - doable with minor snow crossings
Macks - doable
Cockscomb Peak - doable
McFarland - doable with minor snow crossings
Mummy's Heads - Lots of snow in the gully
Bonanza Peak - doable with minor snow crossings
Fletcher Peak - doable

Have fun. I will try to post tips on hiking in Mt. Charleston later this week. Look for huge changes on my main website.
