Various Updates

Yesterday (5-25), Kathy and I hiked to Griffith Peak via the South Loop trail. Although we crossed several snow fields, they were not a problem and we did not have any snow equipment. As the days pass the snow will melt. I was told that you can easily do Charleston Peak via the South Loop trail now.

North facing trails and routes in Mt. Charleston will still have lots of snow.

Hurry, the waterfalls at Mt. Charleston will not be flowing much longer.

All roads to Yosemite are now open.

The snow level in the Sierra is under 11,000 feet.

There's talk about removing the big horn sheep restriction in the Sierra. Currently, certain areas are closed to hikers after July 15th each year. This includes Mt. Williamson.
