Big Falls And Beyond

Today (5-17), 25 hikers enjoyed the mist and cool air of Big Falls. It was a great day up in Mt. Charleston as the valley bake in triple digital heat. Once at Big Falls, which was flowing big time, we followed the route above the falls to a meadow. Just beyond the meadow we hiked up a snowfield as seen in the photo to the left. We couldn't resist sliding down the snow. It was a blast.

As the sun rose higher in the sky the seasonal waterfalls (I counted three) were flowing at their max. We spent about an hour playing in the snow and taking photos. It was one of the best easy hikes I have done.
