On Sunday (4-13) I led seven hikers to Goodman Peak in Red Rock Canyon. It was a great day with near perfect temperatures. Although the pace was slow, it was nice just to be able to hike. The weather last week had not been very good.
The route is in good shape and well cairned. A new book had been placed at the summit. The old one was damaged by water. The container, a Gatorade plastic jar, is in good shape.
Fletcher Canyon in Mt. Charleston has water flowing big time. Now is the time to do this great family hike. In a month or so the canyon will be dry.
