Indecision Peak

Today (3-19), four of us did Indecision Peak instead of our planned hike to Global Peak. The trailhead to Global Peak required a 4WD vehicle. One of the hikers, who had a 4WD vehicle, could not make it so we could not drive to the trailhead. No big deal.

The route to Indecision Peak has a very loose boulder field and is not suitable for a large group. One hiker almost pulled down a huge boulder on himself. Luckily he did not get hurt. The route is well cairned and fairly easy to follow. The route travels next to the "shale rock" in the photo. It's an incredible rock with no possible way to climb it.

There are now two books one at each summit. The two summits are only 70 yards apart. Both books need containers. It had been a few years since I was at the summit of Indecision Peak. This was one of the earlier routes I found in Red Rock. The peak was named by Howard Booth.
