Waterfalls in Red Rock Canyon

Waterfalls in Red Rock are still flowing, but they won't for too much longer. Of course, if it rains or snows again, they will be flowing again. The photo to the left are the waterfalls in Upper Lost Creek Canyon. This is an easy hike with just a bit of scrambling. Complete directions are in the Member's Only section of the web site.

Charleston has enough snow for snow shoeing and back country skiing. Expect daytime temperatures in the forties at 8,000 feet. It will be colder if you ascend higher. A general rule of thumb is you lose four degrees every 1,000 feet you ascend.
