Eva, Richard, and I made it to the top of Shark Boulder, a wild looking boulder high up in Pine Creek Canyon. From there it's a short hike to Juniper Peak. Members of HikingLasVegas.com can download the hike now. It's a level 3 hike with lots of scrambling. It's not easy to get on top of Shark Boulder. You actually descend down on it. The down climb can be protected with a 100 foot rope and a locking carabiner.
I will schedule this hike for members in November. It takes about six hours to complete including the down climb to Shark Boulder.
