On Friday, Dana and I did the Double Slot route to Turtlehead Junior. This is hands down the best route to that summit. Although relatively new to scrambling, Dana handled all the climbing with ease. After making it to Turtlehead Junior, we descended the normal route and followed the standard route to Calico Tank. It was dry as a bone. No real surprise there. We then scrambled to Calico Tank Peak and descended the Red and White route to the trailhead. This is a fun 4 to 5 hour hike.
I cleaned the route and placed a few additional cairns.
On Sunday, we are doing the South Ridge to Mummy Mountain route.
