Oak Creek Overlook - One of the Best Moderate Scrambles

Yesterday, Debbie, Dave and I scrambled to Oak Creek Overlook. It was a magnificent day with perfect weather and great friends. We cleaned the route and reset some cairns. This is not the route for hikers who are not comfortable with exposure. There's one face climb of 100 feet or so with lots of air below! From certain vantage points along the route, it looks impossible to reach the overlook. You can see the route taken in the photo to the left. A "litte" imagination is needed! This is Red Rock scrambling at its finest.
This weekend I will be leading Goodman Peak and Cleaver Crack to Mt. Wilson hikes. If you were a member, you could join us!
